Everything you need to know before you arrive.

Sulula is remote by design. Getting here is part of the experience - and there is more than one way to arrive.

MAPUTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Your gateway to Sulula Mozambique.

Maputo International Airport (MPM) is Mozambique’s main international gateway and the natural starting point for a stay at Sulula.

There are frequent connections from Johannesburg, with several flights each day, and several each week from Cape Town, making the journey from South Africa particularly straightforward. Direct international services also connect Maputo with Lisbon, Doha, Addis Ababa and Luanda, while regional flights link the capital with destinations across Mozambique and southern Africa.

Airlines flying to Maputo include:

Airlink · LAM Mozambique Airlines · Qatar Airways · Ethiopian Airlines · TAP Air Portugal · TAAG Angola Airlines · Turkish Airlines

From Maputo, Sulula is reached by helicopter, light aircraft, road or boat, depending on the transfer chosen. Most guests choose helicopter or road, or a combination of the two.

Our reservations team will recommend the most seamless route and coordinate your onward journey from the moment you arrive.

BY HELICOPTER

The quickest and most spectacular way to reach Sulula is by private helicopter from Maputo. The flight takes around 30 minutes, crossing the Bay of Maputo and the landscapes of the National Park before arriving on the coast at our own helipad.

BY ROAD

Travel by road from Maputo and turn the journey into part of the adventure. The route takes you through Maputo National Park, with the possibility of seeing wildlife along the way. Road transfers are also possible from the Kosi Bay border with South Africa.

For those who prefer to make their own way, Sulula can be reached by high-clearance 4×4. As the lodge lies within the national park, arrival times and access requirements apply.

Our reservations team will provide detailed directions and advise on the best option for your journey.
